Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app contains no third-party code that collects data.

Where your data lives

Your passwords and notes are saved only on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key made from your master password (Argon2id). The app has no network access, so it cannot upload your vault anywhere. I (the developer) cannot see, recover or reset your vault.

Face ID and Touch ID

If you turn on biometric unlock, the check is done by Apple's built-in system. The app never receives your face or fingerprint data. A random key is kept in your device's secure Keychain, protected by your biometrics or passcode, and it never leaves your device.

AutoFill

If you enable the My PSWD AutoFill extension, iOS asks the app for a login to fill in. This happens on your device only, and each fill needs your Face ID, Touch ID or passcode.

Backups and exports

If you export a backup, it is an encrypted file saved where you choose. You decide where it goes. Keep it safe, and remember that a forgotten master password cannot be reset without your recovery key.

Email and ratings

The Help button opens your own mail app with a message to the support address. It only sends something if you press send in your mail app. The Rate button opens the App Store. Apple handles the App Store under its own privacy policy.

Children

My PSWD is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
